Headed up the Web Experience team. Responsible for creating a site that was magazine-like in presentation and tone, and aimed at presenting a friendly, easy introduction to the Web and its resources. Established the vision, voice, content and overall design of a start-up site that complemented a larger business model. Managed a team of 13 people that included producers, writers, editors and designers. As a member of the executive team, formulated product and brand strategies and production processes. Worked closely with all departments—IT, business development, operations, manufacturing, marketing/PR and customer support.

Ark Interface, Seattle, WA * Editor, Internet Publishing * September '97 - August '99
Managed, edited and wrote content for a graphical Web index, MySpace Online. Developed brand strategies and seasonal promotions to send traffic to partner sites. Wrote and produced Customer Support Web Channels for Packard Bell and NEC computer users. Weekly features provided tips, instructions and basic information on how to more effectively use PCs, software and the Internet. Established the tone of the company Web site. Worked closely with biz development, design, IT and operations.

Developed and edited prototype of an image-centric online magazine, Currents—a look at history and its relationship with the present day. Conceived, wrote and produced features. Collaborated with producers, writers, designers and developers. Photo edited and produced soundtracks. Strategized brand development, editorial methodologies and production processes.

Developed, managed, wrote and edited content for a kids' entertainment Web site located on Time/Warner's Pathfinder network. Oversaw production of a team of writers, designers and developers.

Wrote, edited, conceived and assigned stories covering arts & entertainment, celebrity profiles, fashion and lifestyle trends. Coordinated story productions with designers, photo editors, freelance writers and publicists. Conceived and developed feature ideas and editorial calendars. Included trend spotting and forecasting.
