About your coach:

Tatyana Mishel's teaching philosophy emphasizes writing into the Surprise, taking Risks and keeping the creative muscle in shape through play. She has written journalism, short stories, a novella, two novels and hundreds of poems. Her poems and interviews have been published in, or are forthcoming in: the Seattle Review, Calyx, Swivel, In Posse Review, Knock, Cranky Literary Journal and others. Anthologies include poems in: Floating Bridge Press's Pontoon 8 and "Kiss and Part," an anthology of humorous breakup poems (Doggerel Daze, 2005). She is currently the Managing Editor of In Posse Review.

Tatyana received her MFA from Antioch University in Fiction and Poetry. A former editor of ELLE magazine, she also writes book features for the Seattle P.I. When not writing sonnets or whipping her workshops into iambic submissions, she is finding too many athletic metaphors while running the trails, swimming or biking.
